    ADVERTISERS TARGETING YOUNG PEOPLE

I think that are influenced by advertising because is harmful. There are many advertisement whith cartoons.
Children are the main attraction for advertisers.
Advertisers det their advertisements sound louder than usual tv program and before the mos important program.
There a lot of cartoons like advertisement in order to get children atention.
Children are less careful than adultus and they don’t realised about objetive that advertisers pretend.
There are a lot of advertisements about junk food wich damage children.
Depend on the country the schedule is different.
There a ir enormous controversy in the European countries about the harmful of the advertisements in order to be banned.

    “Advertisers targeting young people.”

In my opinion advertisements that are for children are very harmful for them.

When children watch the advertisements of toys they always want all these toys.

When children buy those toys, they were better in the TV’s advertisements.

The TV advertisement makes consumers children.

In conclusion advertisers don’t think in our children, they just think in selling.

ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES OF SINGLE SEX OR MIXED SCHOOLS? WHICH ONE YOU SEND YOUR CHILDREN TO? WHY?

In my opinion this a complex issue. On one hand girls and boys grow up in a different way, so neither of them have the same needs. Due to that some specialists consider that children and teenager should receive their lesson separately, in order to get better results. In this way teachers can focus their attention on their several necessities. Single sex education has disappeared from public centers and nowadays it belongs exclusively to private, mostly religious educational institutions.

On the other hand. most people think that mixed education is the most appropriated for a correct development of youth, they argument that a mixed environment is more natural because in real life children live with both sexes daily. This educational model promote gender equality values.

From my personal point of view I respect both sides because parents must have the widest rage of options available in order to choose what they consider is better for their kids development and future. Personally I would send my children to a public institution, therefore mixed; due to its quality of teaching and in order to give my children the opportunity to be free and interact with different kinds of schoolmates.

What we must take into account is the curriculum, a methodology which attracts attention and interest from students.

WHY LEARNING LANGUAGES IS IMPORTANT? IS ENGLISH THE MOST IMPORTANT LANGUAGE TO LEARN AT SCHOOL?

I really consider that learning languages is not only very important but also it’s useful, because it lets you have a real knowledge about other cultures and people, which are different from your own. And, of course if you speak languages, you will get by when you travel abroad. Even languages are important in your professional career unless you want to fall behind.

In my family, speaking languages is nearly a duty if you want to catch on with them. At home we usually speak Italian, my husband and me met in a Italian course in the EOI. It is a custom watching film in original version. Other members of the family, who are international, speak fluently French, Basque, and Arabian. It’s really enriching.

I have been studying Russian for a year. It’s really difficult, at first it seems that you don’t progress, and then you let down, but if you keep up studying and practicing pretty soon you will pick up the basics.

I consider that English is essential, it must be studied at schools. All of us have to acquire a good level of it. It allows you to move throughout the world. However the knowledge of other languages should be promoted. Even I think that if you have a good level of classical languages such as Latin and ancient Greek, learning and understanding other European languages will be much easier.

These days the use of letters have disacreased a lot in our society. Everybody talks about new technologies, sending sms, e-mails, etc. and it has become a part of our lives.

On the one hand, the decrease of letters is positive because it is a way to globalize communication. If you use your mobile phone, you will comunicate more quickly than if you send letters. Furthermore, new technologies are cheaper than using paper.

On the other hand, we should send letters because it´s a good way of practicing our handwriting. We are absolutely convinced that if we stop sending letters, postmen will lose their jobs.

From our point of view, although the advance of technologies is good for our society, people shouldn´t be allowed to use letters because if technologies fail we will not be able to communicate.

To sum up and taking all theses aspects into consideration we can conclude that new technologies are useful for us but we must be careful with it and keep writing letters.

Nowadays students and young people write worse English because of texting. Also they have bad grammar and this is reflected in their exam results.

On the one hand we think that parents should be more careful with children’s SMS because this is the main reason of their school failure.
When teenagers text they have to be brief. But they forget about good grammar, spelling and sentence structure, not only texting, they also forget it at school. And this is awful for their literacy skills. Also teachers should try to avoid the practice of texting because it could affect their future.
For example , when students go to university and they have to write.

On the other hand, SMS are very useful to communicate in our dily routine because they are fast and cheap.

However we should try to take control not to use it academically, because it could be worse for us in the future.

    Essay
Nowadays, some people discuss whether texting will be allowed in exam within five years.

On the one hand, many citiziens think that languages should evolve with technology and society. In addition, texting is brief and faster. In our society the majority of young people are used to writing is another type of communication and most people know it nowadays.

On the other hand, if texting was allowed in exams within five years, it would have many disadvantages because there will be people that it is a bad idea to use texting in exams. The teacher will have many problems to correct the exams, they do not understand many words because of contractions and the students will have spelling and writing mistakes that they will not know how to correct if they use sms writing.

I n conclusion, we believe that text messages will not be used in writing exams, because it would require a lot of changes in language in order to be accepted. Furthermore, not everyone would have the same opportunities, due to the different ages and types of texting (because text messages have not the same characters for everyone).

    NOBODY WILL WRITE LETTERES

Nowadays people are using more computers or e-mails than letters. In most cases young people write e-mails, short messages and chat with their friends every day at any time to have a faster communication and because it is very cheap. It results in teenagers not writing properly and good grammar being forgotten.

Enterprisers are also using Internet as their way of communication due to the fact that it is cheaper and faster too. They save money so they can invest in other things.

The people who are not using this method are especially elderly men and women, since it is very difficult to adapt to new developments. In addition we should teach them because their letters are a slowly and antiquated way to communicate for today.

In conclusion, un twenty years´ time people will use Internet as the main way of communication because letters are going to disappear, and maybe in forty years´ time we will communicate by reading our thoughts.

In twenty years time, nobody write letters.
Nowadays, a lot of people use the internet to write letters and use other options such as emails or social networks to communicate with other people, this may make us that in the future nobody write letters.
Firstly, nobody is going to write letters because it is very slow and we have other types of communication where the information arrives very fast. In addiction a letter can be lost and write e-mails, for example, this situation doesn’t happened. Also the e-mails are free and you have to pay stamps for letters.
On the other hand, letters are good because you can practice writing. In spite of the fact that more people aren’t know to send e-mails. Also boyfriends will be sent love letters.
In conclusion, we think that in twenty years time, the majority of people won’t write letters but a small minority will continue doing so.

The content is adequate although it is not very well expressed in the second paragraph.

In twenty years’ time, nobody will write letters?

On the one hand there are people who think that letters will die out because the new technologies are improving faster that letters. The main advantage is that you can send the information immediately. Besides you have to carry letters and when you make mistakes new technologies correct them, so you don’t have to worry about it.

On the other hand, there are people who will continue using letters like a means of communication. They think that letters are better because if there is a technology mistake you will lose your information. Traditional letters are safer than new technologies. In twenty years’ time everybody will know it because people will be born between new technologies.

To sum up, we think that most people will write more emails than letters, but letters won’t die our because not everyone likes new technologies and they prefer more traditional methods.

IN 20 YEARS TIME, NOBODY WILL WRITE LETTERS.

How exciting it was sending letters and receiving them too. However, very few people continue communicating with letters, because now with new technologies everybody prefers to talk through mobiles, computers, emails…
I remember my first letter; it was from a friend, who lives in the south of Spain, Granada. I still keep it, because I think it is something special that I want to have forever. Since then I haven´t received many more.
In addition, a lot of people say that it is more practical and easier to keep in touch with this technology. If you have a date with someone, and you may be late or may have changed your plans, it is better to send an email or an SMS; but imagine that you are in Spain and your friend is in another country, I think in that case I prefer to contact them by writing letters; or when you want to say to someone that you love him or her, it is more romantic to write a letter because the one who receives the letter can keep it, and read it when they want.
In conclusion, we should still correspond sometimes, because if we don´t do that in twenty years time nobody will write letters, and in fifty years, they won´t know what letters are.
